This was no April Fool and no joke - there was a 6ft Belgian chocolate model of BBC Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch, in London on Good Friday.

Crafted by an eight-person team of sculptors, chocolatiers and model makers, the chocolate Benedict (said to be luxuriously rich) was based on his real-life height and measurements.

The tasty sculpture, which took over 250 hours to make and weighed 40kg (not his real weight of course!), was commissioned to celebrate the launch of TV channel Drama on UKTV’s on demand service.

Drama bosses took a poll of 2000 British women to find out which TV hunk was their favourite. Benedict topped the results and so here we are!

He was on display (chocolate Benedict, not real Benedict) at London's Westfield Stratford City shopping centre on Good Friday. We hope you had the chance to visit - if not, just the thought of a chocolate Benedict is enough!
